activation doesn't work on WinMo 6.1 pro?

hi all,

After getting some more activation quota (thanks MS!) I unfortunately
find that the Pocket PC Reader isnt being properly activated.
I am following all the usual steps (Ive done this many tens of times
over the years) but now when I open reader on PPC is insists on saying
that it isnt activated yet, even though I have tried several times,
uninstalling and reinstalling the activation.

Help?

heres my stats:
Vista 32
Samsung i760 running WinMo 6.1

PS: this is fresh on the heels of a hard reset, no other software

I just upgraded to WM 6.1 and ran into the same issue. I finally found a
number for Microsoft and got in touch with someone in Tech Support. They say
that Microsoft Reader is not supported on WM 6.1 (only WM6.0 and other
earlier versions).

I very disappointed with Microsoft since on July 30, 2008 they released
version 2.4.1 of the PocketPC version of Reader that fixed activation issues.
WM6.1 was already released at that time, yet they did not go ahead and fix
WM6.1 in the updated version as well. I believe this is just Microsoft's
slient way of slowly killing off Microsoft Reader. I wish they would make an
official statement about its future instead of making harder and harder to
find any support for it.
