I have a Compaq with XP Professional (Vista? Yeah, right.) and I have
downloaded, installed, & activated Microsoft Reader. I have tried to use the
program for a almost month now, and the only thing I encounter is when I
select "shop" the page displays two hyperlinks.

One says "Shop with Reader" , the other says "activation". Either link
opens FrontPage. Neither link is text that I can copy & paste.

Mind you, I have already activated it. It insists on being activated anyway.

(This is the point where one can quote Mike Tyson.)
bleeping ... bleepity ... bleep! etc.

This is yet another reason, that as soon as I can afford it, I am going to
buy a Mac! I am tired of working ON my computer, instead of WITH my computer.

I know there is a place where one can select "open with ... " but why should
I? It is a HYPERLINK. Why would it open FrontPage?

Someday I will probably be able to use some reliable program like Adobe
Reader to open it.

Roy,

Please try the following -

Open your IE browser
Go to Tools | Internet Options
Go to the Programs Tab
Look and see if IE is your default browser
Under Internet Programs click on "Set Program"
Then click on the "Set your default programs" link
Select IE and make sure that IE is defined as the browser

If your system differs in any way from this process it will likely produce
the behavior you define below.

Please let me know if this does not resolve your issue and I will try and
assist you further.

Sincerely,
Christine - Microsoft Reader Team
