i've been trying to activate MS Reader under Vista for my normal
(non-elevated) account but it's not working even though the activation
website said it was successful. Reader is activated for my admin (elevated)
account but i don't run the PC in admin mode for day to day operation, plus
the first time that i tried to activate Reader i was using the non-elevated
account. so it was strange that it actually activated my admin account. i
am able to use reader using my normal day to day account if i execute the
Reader in the "admin" mode. this is annoying and i really want to be able
to access my library using my normal account. any ideas?

***@yahoo.com,

Did you follow the Vista activation steps on the activation website? The
key is to elevate the browser permissions. You can run as a non-elevated
user but you need to right-mouse click on IE and select "Run as
Administrator" and then proceed through the activation process. This should
allow you to read your DRM protected titles.

first, thanks for posting back. yes, i followed the additional info for
activation within Vista (copy and paste the web address and run IE in Admin
mode). like i mentioned, after doing that and receiving a message that said
it was successful i am still UNABLE to get MS Reader working in non-elevated
account. all works fine if i ran MS Reader as Admin or under my admin
login.
